A Career Defined by Service

Born, raised, and educated in Washington State, I’ve dedicated my career to advocating for my communities and the incredible place we call home.

My start in advocacy began when I was four-years old, marching for justice, civil rights and peace, and for Shirley Chisholm for President. I’ve spent my entire life and career working to elevate all members of the community, engage them in the political process, and provide forums to discuss the public policies that define our priorities.

I’ve served for 10 years as Chair of the 32nd District Democrats and received the Snohomish County Democrats’ Henry M. Jackson Progress Award in 2014 and the Warren G. Magnuson Washington State Democrats’ Chair of the Year in 2012.

In 2013, I served as state-wide Constituency Coordinator for I- 522 - ”The People’s Right to Know Genetically Engineering Food Act”. Although Monsanto financed opposition to this campaign it very nearly passed. It revealed the public’s desire to be informed about what is in their food.

In my free time I enjoy camping, floating the rivers and hiking with my two dogs. In the winter, I am a ski instructor to 4 - 10 year olds with Powderpigs Ski School - a school I attended as a child. I am also a proud mom of a Edmonds School District graduate who has been working all summer in Alaska.
